Structure of the class
This class runs between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm and is in four half-hour
sections. What we do in each half hour section is based on the curriculum
of the first four grades of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society's
Medal Tests for Young Dancers
Group 1, the new dancers, is from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.
Group 2 is from 6:30 to 7:30 pm - overlapping with Group 1 for the first half-hour and
Groups 3 and 4, is from 7:00 to 8:00 pm.
New dancers should normally be 6+. Dancers usually progress to Group 2 at the beginning of their second year dancing, and to Group 3 at the
beginning of their fourth year dancing.
